5 REASONS TO DO LIP FILLERS
There is a lot of negative perception on volumising and shaping of lips. Most people who refuse a lip filler is because they feel it is to grab attention or lip fillers will give them pouty artificial lips. But the truth is there is a lot of science behind augmentation and shaping of lips.
Lips needn’t essentially have to look forever pouty or attention seeking, but small corrections can make big changes to one’s face.
This is a typical example of lip fillers to augment the size of the lips or what is popularly known as pouty lips. This is generally favoured by the younger age group (selfie generation) or people from the glamour industry.
This is an example where the fillers are only placed in the upper lip to correct the disproportion in size between the upper and lower lip. The lips are looking fuller and proportionate without being pouty.
This is a beautiful example where no fillers are actually used in the flesh of the lips yet they look beautifully shaped. The trick here is the fillers are only placed in the margins of the lips, enhancing the lip shape than volume. This is typically suited for people with small faces where lip volumising can make them look duck-faced.
This is an example where the fillers aren’t placed to make the lips fuller but to only hydrate them. Hyaluronic acid which is the main content of fillers, is also an intense hydrophilic(water-attractor) agent. Some people spend a lot of time applying chapsticks and lipbalms to manage cracked lips. Cracked lips also make it difficult to apply lipsticks and lip make up. Fillers are an excellent way to say bye-bye to cracked lips naturally without tending to them on a daily basis.
Lastly, aging of face manifests as increased width of the lips that can make them appear flatter. Lip fillers in the flesh of the lips, lip margins and angle of the lips can substantially improve the aged look as seen in the above photograph without making them look artificial or pouty.
